There's Hope
We have a new President. I never thought I would see it in my life time, I am so proud, to be a African American, I have smiled all day! I know that I am not the only one! He will be good for this country!

APPLYING AND REMOVING
Each morning and evening I have the same routine. Yours may be similar. I apply my make up each morning and remove it at night. I take off my night gown and put on my work clothes I even have these cycles in other areas of my life. I take off weight, then put it on again. I shed my life of extra activities, then take them back on again. Off and on, off and on…. What a routine!
God tells us there is something we need to take off, and we only need to do it once. That sounds really good to me! It is our old nature (called our sin nature in the Bible). It leads us into nothing but trouble and is rotten through and through. (Ephesians4:22) When we take that off, God gives us a new nature. One where we have a spiritual renewal of our thoughts and attitudes. We will display this new nature because we are made new people after we have learned the truth that is in Jesus. Attributes of this new and wonderful nature are righteousness, holiness and truth, for our new nature displays that we have been created in God's likeness.
I am glad I have shed the old nature and received the new. How about you !And, I am thankful it is a one time swap ! God is so good ! Amen

MY DAILY INTENTION
Good Morning my Sista's
In all my transactions today,
I intend to come from a place of love within me, to a place of love within others;
From my integrity, to the integrity of others;
From a place of openness, to a place of openness as I respect the rights of all living things.
I intend to be gentle, kind and forgiving.
I intend to be aware of the wonders of the universe and to greet them all with gratitude and awe.
I intend to welcome whatever flows into my life to teach me today,
And to listen to the conversation that the universe is trying to have with me.
I intend to be inspired, to have joy in both work and play,
To be grateful for all that I have in my life and for every opportunity I'm given.
I intend to use my intuition and all my other spiritual gifts in all transactions today and to help wherever I can, even if that help means standing still and doing nothing, or letting go of someone I love.
I intend that there shall be peace and harmony and that wherever I can make restitution,
I shall have the courage and willingness to do so.
I intend to live my humanity and divinity simultaneously today and to move further along my path to enlightenment.

What you do with now

There's nothing to be gained by blaming yourself for the way your life has unfolded. There's everything to be gained by actively taking full responsibility for the way your life proceeds.
The route you traveled to this point no longer matters, for nothing can be done to change it. What truly matters is what you do with now.
Life is always unpredictable, yet there's something you can count on. The more sincerely and diligently you give yourself to the living of it, the more life will go your way.

Faith

LIFE JUST ISN'T
My Sista,s
Life isn't about keeping score. It's not about how many people call you and it's not about who you've dated, are dating or haven't dated at all. It isn't about who you've kissed, what sport you play, or which guy or girl likes you. It's not about your shoes or your hair or the color of your skin or where you live or got to school. In fact, it's not about grades, money, clothes, or colleges that accept you or not. Life isn't about if you have lots of friends, or if you are alone, and it's not about how accepted or unaccepted you are. Life just isn't about that.
But life is about who you love and who you hurt. It's about how you feel about yourself. It's about trust, happiness, and compassion. It's about sticking up for your friends and replacing inner hate with love. Life is about avoiding jealousy, overcoming ignorance and building confidence. It's about what you say and what you mean. It's about seeing people for who they are and not what they have. Most of all, it is about choosing to use your life to touch someone else's in a way that could never have been achieved otherwise. These choices are what life's about.

WHAT YOU WILL BE
As I gazed up at the mountains, I was awed by their majesty; I bowed my head and asked myself, "Why should He care for me? I am not great like the mountains that tower so high above, What is there about me that God can find to love?"
"Father, I am not strong like the wind that makes your tall trees sway, I cannot sing sweetly like your birds; will you love me anyway? But most of all, I am simply me, and often have cause to fear, In spite of all my weaknesses, do you promise to be near?"
With eyes closed tight against my tears, I wished He could hear me pray. Then I felt His Spirit tell me, "Child, look up, I have something to say. "You are simply you, the spirit I love, a part of my great plan. I put you here to learn of life and to return to me again."

Reduce Stress
1. Live within your budget; don't use credit cards for ordinary purchases.
2. Have backups; an extra car key in your wallet, an extra house key buried in the garden, extra stamps, etc.,
3 K.M.S. (Keep Mouth Shut.) This single piece of advice can prevent an enormous amount of trouble.
4 Do something for the Kid in You everyday.
5. Carry a Bible with you to read while waiting in line.
6. Get enough exercise.
7. Eat right.
8. Get organized so everything has its place.
9. Listen to a tape while driving that can help improve your quality of life.
10. Write thoughts and inspirations down.

12. Having problems? Talk to God on the spot. Try to nip small problems in the bud. Don't wait until its time to go to bed to try and pray.

Slow Down
1. Slow down; God is still in heaven. You are not responsible for doing it all yourself, right now.
2. Remember a happy, peaceful time in your past. Rest there. Each moment has richness that takes a lifetime to savor.
3. Set your own pace. When someone is pushing you, it's OK to tell them they're pushing.
4. Take nothing for granted: watch water flow, the corn grow, the leaves blow, your neighbor mow.
5. Taste your food. God gives it to delight as well as to nourish.
6. Notice the sun and the moon as they rise and set. They are remarkable for their steady pattern of movement, not their speed.
7. Quit planning how you're going to use what you know, learn, or possess. God's gifts just are; be grateful and their purpose will be clear.
8. When you talk with someone, don't think about what you'll say next. Thoughts will spring up naturally if you let them.
9. Talk and play with children. It will bring out the unhurried little person inside you.
10. Create a place in your home...at your work...in your heart...where you can go for quiet and recollection. You deserve it.

Get Wisdom
Proverbs 4:7 tells us that "Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.
My Sistas, you must feed your mind, because it will eventually starve if you fail to nourish it with the right knowledge and information. And without an "understanding" of that knowledge, your emotional, mental, and spiritual growth maybe severely hampered.

Simple
My Sistas,
Good morning, Lord Jesus. Before my day unfolds, I unfold my day before You. ...
"The unfolding of Your words gives light; it imparts understanding to the simple" (Psalm 119:130).
Help me simply come humbly before You -- seeking Your face, listening for Your voice, waiting for Your leading. Unfold Your words and Your will before me. Let Your light shine on the steps of the path You are setting before me this day. Let the sound of Your words in my spirit rise up into the thoughts in my mind. Then, by Your grace, throughout the encounters of my day, may I walk in Your wisdom, love with Your heart, and speak with the authority of one who has spent time in Your Presence. Help me be simple enough to get this one thing straight: "He leads the humble in what is right, and teaches the humble His way" (Psalm 25:9). In Jesus' name I pray, Amen.

Just Show Up
”You are the light of the world…. let your light shine before men…” [Matthew 5:14-16]
Sooner or later in the life of every disciple the Holy Spirit will bring the lesson of—just show up!
Over the years I have known the awesome blessing of simply going and being where and when God directed me to be—the blessings are always greater then you can ask or imagine. The reward is the same whether it is a different nation, another city, around the corner or down the road —just showing up in obedience to the Spirit brings the blessing of the Father simply because you are walking in obedience and being—the light of the world!
Wherever you need to be today, listen to the Lord's leading and just show up, expect God to shine out for His Glory and He will--through you! Amen.

Genuine, lasting success is never an accident. It is the result of personal character.
Work with a purpose -
Winners have a sense of mission. They know where they are headed and have figured out how to get there. They are focused. They plan their work and work their plan.
"An intelligent man aims at wise actions, but a fool starts off in many directions."
Insist on Integrity -
Nothing lasts without integrity. Winners tell the truth. Then they don't have to worry about being caught in a lie.
"Dishonest gain will never last, so why take the risk?"
Never make excuses -
Winners never play the blame game. They accept responsibility for their mistakes. People who are good at making excuses are rarely good at much else.

Never stop learning -
All leaders are learners - the moment you stop learning, you stop leading. The dinosaurs became extinct because they couldn't adapt to a changing environment. Can you?

My First Row
My Sistas,
To all of my people I keep in the first row.
Life is a Theatre...Invite Your Audience Carefully...
Not everyone is healthy enough to have a front row seat in our lives.
There are some people in your life that need to be loved from a DISTANCE.
It's amazing what you can accomplish when you let go of or at least minimize your time with draining, negative, incompatible, not-going-anywhere relationships/friendships.
Observe the relationships around you. Pay attention. Which ones lift and which ones lean? Which ones encourage and which ones discourage? Which ones are on a path of growth uphill and which ones are going downhill? When you leave certain people do you feel better or feel worse? Which ones always have drama or don't really understand, know or appreciate you?
The more you seek quality, respect, growth, peace of mind, love and truth around you...the easier it will become for you to decide who gets to sit in the front row and who should be moved to the balcony of your life.
"If you cannot 'change' the people around you, CHANGE 'the people' around you". Remember that the people we hang with will have an impact on both our lives and our income. And so we must be careful to choose the people we hang out with, as well as the information with which we feed our minds. We should not share our dreams with negative people, nor feed them with negative thoughts.

Happy New Year
Off with the old on with the new. It's a new day and it's a new Year, I don't know about you my sistas but I'm excited about 2008 new beginnings, I think I'm going to run on to see what the end will be. I feel lighter, I left some old baggage in 07, which has aloud me to pick up the pace. I have some new plans for Sista Tribe. I will roll them out soon! Peace!
