My Sisitas',
Do not remember the former things, Nor consider the things of old. Behold I do a new thing…" [Isaiah 43:18-19]
Every morning I arise and view the loveliness of God's surrounding creation and I realize I am drinking in something totally new. Everything the eye glances upon is different than it was the day before. The colors, size, shape and even sounds. It is the way of God—where He is there is always a fresh touch, there is always change. His mercies are new every morning; they are from everlasting to everlasting. He makes all things new—continually—and there is joy in the morning .
Three areas are empowered in His Spirit as we go deeper into the Life of Christ.
1) A decision of the will that will shut the door to yesterday, a determination to eradicate yesterday's faults, failures, successes or securities—do not remember the former things. Paul said, "…forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead—I press on!" [Philippians 3:13-14]
2) No room to rehearse or repeat mindless games of why—what if or if only. Regardless of their rating running old movies in the mind will obliterate your vision of God's Will for today. Jesus said, "I will no longer talk much with you, for the ruler of this world is coming, and he has nothing in Me." [John 14:30] There was no room in the Inn when Jesus arrived and when He departed there was no room In Jesus but the desire to complete the Father's Will.
3) Go ahead and have great expectation—its called FAITH it comes from living in the Root! "I, Jesus, have sent My angel to testify to you these things in the churches, I am the Root and the Offspring of David, the Bright and Morning Star." [Revelation 22:16]
"Do not remember the former things,[that's last year, last month, last week or yesterday!] Nor consider the things of old [that's don't think about it---don't dwell on them-slam the door shut!] Behold I do a new thing!" Have great expectation, what God has done before He will do again---He's the same yesterday today and forever!
